Let’s take a walk through four of our most popular organizer set ups and talk about each of the inserts that make it work out just right!

First Up Direct Sales:

If you are in direct sales, then you know that keeping your business organized is an absolute must. For this setup, the most commonly used inserts are:

  1. Monthly: keep up with all of your events and plans for your DS business
  2. Social Media: create a plan for your social media accounts so you can make sure that you’re maximizing the synergy from all of your platforms
  3. Parties: my personal favorite party insert so you can track all of the things related to parties!
  4. Teacher Grade Book: a great way to track your customer orders and follow ups!
  5. Notes: use to brainstorm ideas, take notes in training, and so much more!

I talk about how all of these (and more) can work together to help you run your Direct Sales business better in The Beginner’s Guide to Direct Sales Planning.

Next up, Meal Planning:

Do you struggle with this daily adulting requirement, deciding what to make for dinner? ME TOO! Seriously, so glad my husband likes to cook, because to be honest, he usually makes the plan…I just write it down.

    1. Monthly: Keep a running tab of what you have during the month, setting specific days, (meatless Monday, taco Tuesday, etc.)
  1. Meal & Grocery: menu planning and grocery shopping in one insert. It’s great for putting on the fridge so everyone knows what is on the menu.
  2. Pantry/Freezer: One of the best places to shop for meal ideas is in your own pantry and freezer. This insert helps you know what is in there without looking, so you can prep from what you already have available.
  3. Recipe: Store all of your favorite recipes in one place, and make meal planning that much easier, because you have it right there with you to see what ingredients you need. Plus, this is a great way to create a hand-me-down recipe book in your own handwriting for your kids.
  4. Grocery: If you are utilizing a different method for your meal planning, then having an insert devoted just to your shopping trips is a must. This insert is broken down into categories, so you make sure you don’t miss anything.

Is Financial Planning something you’re working on?

This is one of my big goals for this year. Having a financial planning organizer helps me to make better decisions because I know where my money is going.

    1. Monthly: write out your due dates, automatic withdrawals and upcoming financial obligations
  1. Budget & Bill Pay: Have a monthly list of all of your financial accounts, and when your bills are due. Schedule them and mark them off when they have been paid.
  2. Purchases & Spending: If you are just getting started this is a great way to track where your money is going so that you can set a budget that you can work with.
  3. Debt Repayment: It is easier to use the Snow Ball or Avalanche methods for debt repayment if you know all the information about each debt.
  4. Check Register: After you have your budget set, this is a great way to track how you are doing and see where each of your dollars are going.

Last but not least, Time Management!

This is by far my most asked about set up. If you are on the struggle bus for getting your time managed I have a set up to share with you.

    1. Monthly: It’s hard to know how to manage your time if you aren’t sure what appointments, and obligations you have. Seeing it all laid out over the course of the month will give you lots of opportunities to utilize the word “no” when you have too much on your plate.
  1. Weekly: My favorite weekly insert is the brain dump weekly, it is how my brain works. But having a weekly is super important because it gives you space to really think about how you are managing your time and see how each of your days are allotted.
  2. To Do List: Having something that you can physically check off to know that you have accomplished a task will be easier for you to move forward. That sense of accomplishment at the end of the day is always refreshing.
  3. Habit Tracker: I use this one to make sure that I am on track with my monthly goals. When I am using my time correctly, things get marked off in a timely manner and I can keep that chain linked day in and day out.
    1. Notes: Have you done a really good brain dump lately? It is imperative to clear the mental clutter. Seeing what you need to accomplish on paper is going to help you set personal time goals, task lists and accomplish more than you thought possible.
