2024 Monthly Marvel: Crafting Your Planner Wonderland!
Crafting your planner wonderland for 2024 is all about turning your planner into a personalized haven of organization and inspiration. In this post, we’ll delve into creative strategies for setting up your monthly planner, designing a layout that fits your needs, and making your planner an essential tool for success. Learn how to transform your planner into a true wonderland with practical tips and ideas.
1. Unveiling the Tula XII Magic
Picture this: the grandeur of the Tula XII planner, where your dreams and plans find their canvas. Say goodbye to the limitations of the past and welcome the spacious wonderland of possibilities. This year, I’ve chosen to try out some Bullet Journaling – but many of the layouts I’m going to be recreating come straight from our Tula XII Inserts! So let’s start out with just setting up the 2024 Monthly Insert, ok?
2. The 2024 Monthly – Because We’re the Boss
In the realm of planning, my monthly insert is what keeps me going to the right place at the right time. This is my main source when I begin to create my weekly plans because it contains ALL of the important info (we’re going to go into the details on that here in a minute). Even though I’m using a dot grid journal for my weekly planning, this Monthly Insert in my personal planner (I’m using the Large Shaggy Chic cover) is really my planning haven. If I forget to put an appointment or a meeting here, it’s just not gonna happen. When my hubby asks me about making plans, I always consult this insert before saying yay or nay.
3. Planner Set Up Day – It’s a Party!
Gather your planner-loving friends and schedule a Planner Set Up Day! Fun pens, erasable Frixion pens, stickers, washi tape – don’t be afraid to bring out the whole arsenal. I find it more fun with friends, so go ahead and invite a few friends over, combine your fun planning supplies, and let the planner party commence!
4. Tools of the Trade – Pens, Stickers, and Old Planner Memories
So what planning supplies might you need? Frixion pens are the MVPs (great for color coding and putting in tentative plans – just be careful in the heat as they will erase if the temp gets too hot), and those neglected stickers from last year? It’s time to give them a chance. Don’t forget to bring along your old planner – a nostalgic trip down memory lane – this is a great resource for creating your 2024 plans. If you are going to try color-coding, you may want to create a color legend in the front of your insert, so that you don’t forget what is what.
5. Planning for the Year – Birthdays, Appointments, and Beyond
The nitty-gritty of planning for the year is here. So, what all do you want to make sure you include in your new planner? Birthdays, anniversaries, doctor’s appointments (I know, I’d rather not go too, but make sure you schedule those important annual doctor’s appointments!), school calendars – pen them down. Also, keep in mind kids’ extracurricular activities, summer plans, holidays, and if you’re a blended family like us – visitation schedules.
6. Looking Back for Clues – Product Launches and Goals
Are you a small business owner like me? Think ahead and schedule tasks for consistency, from newsletters to social media planning. Do you have themes that you like to have each month, or perhaps a monthly focus? Go ahead and write down your ideas! Your old planner holds valuable clues. Use the notes section to write down important launches that you know happen at a certain time each year so you can plan ahead. Write down your monthly quarterly, and/or annual goals – they’re your roadmap to success. Do you have an annual conference? Go ahead and pencil those dates in too, friend!
7. The Finishing Touch – Stickers Galore!
Transform your planner into a work of art with stickers. From fun to functional, – let your planner shine bright in the sea of productivity. Now, you might want to do this task first, before you pencil everything in. Sometimes, it’s easier to fit the words around the stickers than the stickers around the words. 😉 Or maybe you just aren’t a sticker person at all! That’s totally ok! Are you trying your hand at bullet journaling too? You might like the journal stickers for setting up your monthly layouts!
