New Year, New Goals
Happy New Year, friends! There’s something magical about the fresh start a new year brings. It’s a time to reflect, set intentions, and look forward to the possibilities that lie ahead. This year, my mantra is simple yet powerful: less is more. For me, that means focusing on what truly matters—bringing the most value to my customers and cherishing the fleeting moments I have with my family.
Less is More in Business
In my business, I’m committed to streamlining and prioritizing what adds the most value to you, my amazing community. This means fewer, more intentional posts, more focused resources, and offering guidance that truly helps you find calm in the chaos. I’ll still be here with my weekly blog posts, YouTube videos, and our Sunday “Planners in Progress” sessions, but I’m learning to say no to the things that don’t align with this mission. It’s all about working smarter, not harder.
Embracing Family Time
On the home front, time feels like it’s slipping through my fingers. My teenagers, Nick and Tori, are juggling work and school, and it’s only 2.5 years until my youngest heads to college. Finding those golden moments when all four of us are home together can be a challenge, but I’m determined to make the most of them.
Family dinners, game nights, and movie nights are high on my priority list. We kicked off the year with a family movie night on New Year’s Eve, watching The Wild Robot. It was a simple but sweet reminder of how much I value these moments, and I’m hoping it’s just the beginning of many more evenings like that in 2025.
Personal Goals: Faith, Fitness, and Creativity
On a personal level, this year is about nurturing my mind, body, and soul. I’ve committed to a daily Bible reading plan using the Bible app, and my husband and I are doing a study together as well. Starting my day with this quiet time has already helped me feel more grounded and focused.
Health is another major focus. I’ve created a daily exercise tracker in my planner to hold myself accountable. Whether it’s walking, yard work, cycling, or just getting my steps in, staying active is a priority.
And then there’s my newest venture—crocheting! I’ve decided to swap mindless scrolling on my phone for something creative and calming. I’m starting with granny squares and have a tracker in my planner to document my completed projects. It’s a small but meaningful way to be more present while we watch TV (and it keeps my husband happy too!).
What Are Your Goals?
That’s a little peek into my intentions for 2025. Now, I’d love to hear from you! What are your goals for this year? Are you focusing on personal growth, family time, or perhaps tackling a big project? Let’s cheer each other on as we navigate this new year together.
Here’s to making 2025 the year of meaningful moments, intentional choices, and embracing the idea that less truly is more. Let’s do this!
