Something Old, Something New

Well, it’s been a hot minute since I’ve sat down to write a blog post. I can’t imagine why that has been. 🤣

Covid. Virtual school. Opening a storefront restaurant in the midst of a pandemic. Remote working. Blended family challenges. Did I mention opening a restaurant? Haha. It’s been a wild ride, that’s for sure. I do plan to write more about that later.

Honestly, it’s still a pretty crazy time for us, but I wanted to share my latest news with you all. I obviously juggle a lot of things…but one thing that helps keep me somewhat sane is my planner. I’ve purchased different brands over the years, but after 2020…I bought a cheapo basic calendar for 2021. BUT THEN a friend introduced me to Tula Xii Lifestyle Organizers.

Honestly, I only joined her party to support by engaging on her post. But then I saw how the Brand Ambassador actually used the product… They are so much more than a calendar. In fact, I’m still using my cheapo calendar (shhhhh!)  because I’m not one for replacing things just because… 🤷🏻‍♀️ I have been able to create a system to help me stay organized in a way that works for me. I hadn’t even received my party order before I decided to jump on board with this company because I realized how much it could change my life, and I wanted to share that with others.

Seriously, with everything that we’ve been challenged with the last few weeks with DJ’s health issues, all while also trying to launch a new biz, keep the kids on-track with virtual school, and maintain my productivity at my day job, I’m not sure how I would’ve managed it all without this system. I was able to quickly see what I had going on in a given week (because I am actually color-coding now), and prioritize what needed to get done versus what could be shifted. As far as I know, nothing got totally dropped. 🙌🏻

Here’s the gist of how these organizers work. (I’ll go into details on a future post.)

1. Choose Your Cover

We have multiple sizes and styles of covers, ranging from our Small to an XL cover.

I, of course, chose the XL – and in Red (for NC State of course). With the sign-on kit, I also received a small and a medium with an interchangeable cover (pretty cool, right?), as well as some inserts that I hadn’t tried yet. I’ll be turning the small cover into my wallet! Pretty excited about that. Both the small and the medium sizes are easy to toss into a purse (for most of us). The XL fits in my computer bag just fine though.

If you like the size of the XL but don’t want to carry it with you everywhere, the awesome thing is that the inserts are easily removed so that you can just take out the one that you need to work with and leave the rest on your desk! Easy peasy!

PS We just launched our gorgeous spring line of covers, so don’t fret if red isn’t your thing. There are plenty of options for everyone!

2. Choose Your Inserts

Now THIS is the fun part! You get to choose from 100+ inserts to create the organizer that works for YOU! Now don’t stress…if that’s too many to choose from, you can search by lifestyle area (e.g. Direct Sales, Family, Health, Faith, etc.) or just type in a search term that you think will find what you’re looking for (e.g. calendar, journal, coloring – yes, we have coloring pages!).

I started with four inserts – Social Media, Grade Book, To-Do List, and Parties & Notes.

Now you might wonder why I need a grade book since my kids are in public virtual school vs true homeschooling… Well, I use it to help me keep up with my follow-ups and when I completed certain activities. Yay for visual systems!

I love that you can absolutely customize these inserts to do what YOU need them to do, even if that wasn’t the original intent for them! I can’t wait to start implementing some of the other inserts too. Once you are using this consistently, it’s easy to add new things – habit stacking!

3. Choose Your Accessories

Want to add some pizzazz to your planner?? Then the accessories section is where you’re going to make sure you stop before you check out!

From charms to magnets, pens to notepads, pen pouch to ID tag, there are accessories for all of us. I especially love the plastic pockets!

I plan to use the Cash & Coupon to help us with our household budget. I also purchased the wallet insert to turn my small cover into my new wallet (I don’t use one now…).

And don’t forget the stickers and washi tape!!

So many fun things to try!

Are you a lover of ALL the planners?

Or perhaps you’re just looking for something to help you calm the chaos in your life? I’d love to have you come hang out with us in our Chaos Coordinator Community. Even if you already have a system you love, we’d love to see what works for you! Want to go ahead and see what all the fuss is about? No problem – you’ll always be able to visit check back here for all the latest info! I can’t wait to hear what you think!

PS We are having a Spring Cleaning Challenge in our Chaos Coordinator Community, starting April 1. We’ll be walking through the challenge together…because I need some accountability to do some of the bigger cleaning tasks. 😉 There’s even a special Spring Cleaning Bundle available if you want to use this to keep the cleaning going at your house! It gives you a medium classic pro cover (in a calming sage green), the Spring Cleaning Insert (which is what I’ll be walking you through in our Community) as well as the Cleaning Insert. PLUS fun stickers!! Are you up for the challenge??

Until next time…
