Take the habit of daily exercise, for example. Listen friend, I get how hard it can be to build those habits (especially that daily exercise…that happens to be something I’m working on right now), but I also know that once it becomes a habit and not an intentional choice, it’s going to just be part of my daily routine and it will start to feel weird to NOT exercise. It just takes time to get to that point.

On the flip side, bad habits can be the silent saboteurs of our aspirations. Whether it’s procrastination, negative self-talk, or mindless scrolling through social media, these behaviors chip away at our productivity and erode our confidence. Suddenly, you’re reclaiming valuable time and energy that can be redirected toward pursuits that truly matter to you. My current bad habit? Picking up my phone and using it as a numbing device…because that’s what the mindless scrolling and game playing does – it numbs my mind. That is no way to live, my friend, and I want it to be different.

It’s about identifying the cues that trigger our habits, understanding the rewards they provide, and then consciously reshaping the routines that govern our lives.
