Today I’m going to show you how easy it is to create a personalized planner using our 1-2-3 step process.
I have used multiple custom planners in the past. There were always sections that I thought I would use, but then never did… Yet I was stuck with them until the end of the year. With the Tula XII lifestyle organizers, that is a thing of the past!
If you’re just getting started with your planner, or if you’ve been planning for years, you are going to love our easy peasy process for creating your customer planner.
Step 1 – Choose your cover
We have four styles and four sizes to choose from, and LOTS of different designs. Start by choosing the size that you need (Small = 4×5.75”, Medium = 5×7”, Large = 5.25×8″, XL = 7×9.75”) and then choose the style (Classic, Classic Pro, Interchangeable, or Trifolio-N-Go). Check out How to Choose the Perfect Planner Cover for more details on the covers.
Step 2 – Choose your inserts
The inserts are the meat and potatoes of your planner. This is where you decide WHAT you are trying to organize. If it’s schedules, I suggest starting with a monthly insert and a weekly insert with a layout of your choice. Don’t stress too much about the layout…just get one that you think will work, and if there are things that aren’t working for you, we can adjust!
With 100+ insert options available, it can be challenging to narrow down to just what you need. I highly recommend browsing the inserts by Lifestyle.

Step 3 – Choose your accessories
Ok, this is the FUN part! You get to choose the extra goodies that you can add to your planner to give it some personality while also adding functionality. I’m not going to cover all of them, but if I had to choose my top three accessories to include in your planner, I would choose:
The magnetic clips can be used to connect your monthly insert to your weekly so it’s easy to flip back and forth. They also make great bookmarks.
Jump bands expand the number of inserts that you can fit into your cover and are FREE when you order 4+ inserts.
The pouch can hold tons of things. I have one that holds all my fun pens. (You definitely should try one of our PenGems pens too.) I have another that I use to hold washi tape; I may or may not have a small washi tape addiction. They could also be used to hold things like glasses, feminine products (perfect for teens!) and so much more.
It really is that easy y’all!
As you saw in this guide, you can create the perfect planner for YOU in just three easy steps.
Now you have everything you need to start building your personal planner. Before you get started creating your own planner, make sure you leave me a comment to tell me which lifestyle you’re building your planner for!
